Known informally as the Punishment Parade, this tradition began in 1894 after Queen Victoria discovered the guards neglecting their duties. To enforce discipline, she ordered daily inspections at 4 PM—a practice that has endured beyond the initial 100-year mandate, maintained by Queen Elizabeth II as a cherished regimental tradition.
